A lot of people don't realize that the Old Testament has a lot of scriptures about the SECOND coming of Jesus.

Zechariah 12:10 is truly one of the most amazing scriptures in the Old Testament. This single verse foretells the crucifixion of Jesus the Messiah, the fact that He would be rejected by the Jews, and it prophecies about His second coming when they will look upon the one they have pierced:

"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son."

There is a ton of really amazing stuff at the end of the "Old Testament". If you have not read some of those books lately, then we would HIGHLY recommend it. As we move into the end times, it will be more important than ever to be spending time in the Word of God.

It is very unfortunate that the majority of American Christians have no idea what is happening to the Christians of India.

In many areas of India, Christians who try to preach the gospel are regularly attacked and persecuted by Hindu extremists.

The following is a recent example that was emailed to us by Voice Of The Martyrs:

On April 25, Pastor Mohan Babu and two other believers were severely beaten by 35 Hindu extremists for holding a Vacation Bible School (VBS) near Bangalore City, in Karnataka State. According to The Voice of the Martyrs contacts in India, the three-day VBS was organized by Ragigudda Baptist Church. VOM sources said, "Around 60 children from different backgrounds were attending the VBS. As they were worshiping, about 35 people belonging to a Hindu extremist group forcefully entered the hut chanting slogans and demolished the hut. The extremists mercilessly beat Mohan, Samuel and Krishna, alleging forceful conversion. The perpetrators chased the children without any courtesy and tore the Bibles. Mohan was severely injured on his lips and was profusely bleeding. The believers are living in fear and did not lodge complaint with the police." Pray for healing for all those injured in this attack. Pray they forgive their attackers and for the children who were attending VBS to continue growing in their faith despite the attack.

The New York Times recently had an excellent article on the Midwest floods and how they are playing havoc with America's breadbasket at a time when the world food crisis is getting increasingly worse.

These were the stunning statements of one Iowa farmer:

“In the lean years, we had beautiful crops but they weren’t worth much,” Mr. Timmerman said, surveying his farm, which his family has tended since his great-great-grandfather. “Now, with commodity prices sky high, mother nature is throwing us all these curve balls. I’m 42 years old and these are by far the poorest crops I’ve ever seen.”

These devastating floods seem to be coming at the worst possible time. Food riots have been exploding in some of the poorest countries of the world, and commodity prices have been flying through the roof. One billion people in the world go to bed hungry every night right now.

Even in the United States, the Midwestern floods have hit food prices really hard.

What in the world is going to happen if these types of floods continue and things get worse?

One additional thought to ponder: As you read this, the strategic reserve of the United States has only enough wheat to give everyone in American a half a loaf of bread. What do you think will happen someday if the stores start running out of food?

It is probably safe to say that a huge percentage of the people who will read this article love rock music.

In our modern society, music is a HUGE passion for a lot of people.

However, is modern music just some cute music about drugs, sex and rebellion, or is there a much more sinister agenda at work?

Abortion is an issue that the presidential candidates have talked very little about so far? By the attention they have paid to it, you would think it is an issue that isn't even important.

Since 1973, more than 40 MILLION innocent babies have been chopped up and slaughtered in the American abortion mills.

What we have done is beyond imagination. We have dissected them, burned them alive, sucked their brains out and yet the American people seem to care about this issue less than ever.

How far down the toilet have we gone as a society when we kill about a million babies a year, and nobody even gets upset about it anymore?

Is there hope? Will the new president that we elect in November do something about this incredible horror?

First, let's hear what John McCain has to say. He is the candidate that is supposed to be "Pro-Life".

John McCain: “It’s not social issues I care about”

John McCain: “I’d love to see a point where Roe vs. Wade is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary. But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe vs. Wade, which would then force women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations.”

But John McCain insists that NOW he is pro-life. Sort of.

Well, how do we explain McCain’s support for federally-funded embryonic stem cell research (Embryo Murder) (H.R. 810)?

So McCain is in favor of chopping up embryos and using them for research, he claims to be in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade "someday" but certainly not any time soon, and he admittedly doesn't even care about social issues.

Well, what about Barack Obama?

Barack Obama is so rabidly pro-abortion that he even voted AGAINST a bill that would have provided medical care for infants that survived an abortion procedure. Even Hillary Clinton was not in favor of that.

It is time for all of us to wake up to the horror of abortion.

Let's take a really quick look at one very cruel method of abortion:

Five steps to a partial birth abortion:

1) Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's legs with forceps.

2) The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal.

3) The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head

4) The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the skull.

5) The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

America must wake up while it still can.

This is a holocaust that cannot be ignored. Let us pray that the leaders of this country will awaken to the horror of this national slaughter.

Most Americans are not aware that there are famines going on around the world RIGHT NOW.

Tonight, over one BILLION hungry people will go to bed without sufficient food.

Tonight, the food supplies of the world are at their lowest point in over 50 years.

And yet most Americans are completely oblivious to the growing food crisis that is getting way out of control in many areas of the world.

Most Americans don't care about things until it is affecting them, and they think that it could never happen here.

Most Americans think that we will always have more than enough food.

Pay attention to the food crisis around the world.....eventually it WILL effect us.

It is true.

According to a stunning new report by the British charitable group Oxfam, the number of natural disasters worldwide has increased by more than 400 percent in the last 20 years.

Over 400 percent?

When are we all going to realize that something really unusual is going on?

Could it be that this is the beginning of what Jesus was talking about in Luke 21:25-26.....

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken."

This is not the time to sleep. Wake up and realize what time it is.

Our world certainly is changing.

WorldNetDaily is reporting that a Canadian priest is being investigated for a "hate crime" under a Canadian hate crime law that has been enacted in recent years.

And what was his "hate crime"?

The "crime" that this priest supposedly committed is that he taught that marriage is between one man and one woman and that he quoted form the Bible extensively during that teaching.

Apparently now even being against gay marriage at all and teaching that the Bible says that it is wrong is a "hate crime" in Canada.

The time is coming soon when preachers in Canada will not be able to preach against sin AT ALL.

How many will continue to preach the truth when they are under the threat of going to prison?

The Telegraph is reporting that a controversial proposal is being presented to the government of the United Kingdom that every single dog be required to be microchipped with an RFID chip.

The promoters of this microchipping of dogs feel that it would help owners and local authorities to be able to keep these pets under much greater control.

So is this a good idea?

While this may sound great in theory, the reality is that it is another creeping step in the direction of chipping everyone and everything in our society.

Today they may want to chip your dog, but tomorrow they will want to chip YOU.

This is just one more signpost on the highway towards the mark of the beast.

Did you hear about this travesty?

A United States marine was handing out coins to Iraqis that had a positive message about Christianity on them.

So how did the U.S. government and the U.S. military respond to this?

They removed that marine from duty as quickly as possible.

After everything else that has happened over there, this is what the U.S. military chooses to crack down on?

This is yet another illustration that shows that we may be fighting for "something" over there, but it sure isn't freedom.

The days of openly proclaiming the gospel of or Lord Jesus Christ in the United Kingdom are over.

When two Christians tried to go and pass out tracts in a highly Muslim area in Birmingham, a community police officer stopped them and reportedly said to them: "You have been warned. If you come back here and get beat up, well, you have been warned."

In addition, the officer told them not to ever return to that area, and that trying to preach the gospel in a Muslim neighborhood was a hate crime.

This is another example in a disturbing trend that we are seeing in the Western world. Increasingly, preaching the gospel is being labeled as a "hate crime", and Christians are just laying down and taking it.

Some day almost all forms of evangelism will be against the law.

Then what will Christians do?

Did you know that there is a secret plan by the U.S. Army to tear down crosses and all Christian symbols from their chapels around the world?

"Distinctive religious symbols, such as crosses, crucifixes, the Star of David, menorah, and other religious symbols, will not be affixed or displayed permanently on the chapel exterior or grounds."

(Army Reg. 165-1, 13-3.d)

A stunning WorldNetDaily report says that the U.S. Army is in the midst of a program to tear down crosses and other Christian symbols from their chapels worldwide.

Is it any wonder why our military and our nation are not blessed anymore?

We may be fighting in the name of someone's "god" but we are making it exceedingly clear what God we are not following as a nation.

Did you know that Hitler and the Nazi Party declared war on Christianity in the public schools just like the Left is doing today?

Today we found an excellent article by Bruce Walker where he talks about his new book entitled "The Swastika against the Cross: The Nazi War on Christianity".

In his book he describes how the Nazis declared an all out war against Christianity in their public schools. He documents historical facts such as the following:

-Only clergymen were permitted to teach religious classes, and those clergymen were forced to teach according to the anti-Christian instructions of the Nazi Ministry of Education.

-In Wurrtemberg, when clergymen totally refused to follow Nazi teachings on religion, 700 of them were banned from the classroom.

-Christian prayers were banned from the public classroom and crucifixes and other Christian symbols were physically removed as well.

-By 1935, the passionately anti-Christian leader of the Hitler Youth, Baldur von Shirach issued a stunning regulation that prohibited any child from belonging simultaneously to a Christian youth group and the Hitler Youth.

-Gradually membership in the Hitler Youth became almost obligatory, and parents were told that their children would not get jobs in the civil service unless they belonged to the Hitler Youth and employers were told that they should not hire children who did not belong to the Hitler Youth.

-Christian children who did not belong to the Hitler Youth or its female counterpart were routinely beaten up by young Nazi thugs.

-Boys inducted into the Hitler Youth were required to explicitly reject Christianity by oaths such as this: “German blood and Christian baptismal water are completely incompatible.”

The following is an example of a an actual Hitler Youth slogan:

“The Faith fanatics, who still to-day slide down on their knees with faces uplifted to heaven, waste their time in churchgoing and prayers, and have not yet understood that they are living on the earth and that therefore their task is of a thoroughly earthly kind. All we Hitler people can still only look with the greatest contempt on those young people who still run to their silly Evangelical or Catholic Churches in order to vent their quite superstitious religious feelings.”

The following are actual quotes from Hitler Youth training manuals:

“Christianity is a religion of slaves and fools.”

“How did Christ die? Whining at the Cross!”

“The Ten Commandments represent the lowest instincts of man.”

“Christianity is merely a cloak for Judaism.”

The Nazi tract "Gott und Volk" was widely distributed in 1941, and it describes how the Nazis envisioned their children being raised: “With parties and gifts the youth will be led painlessly from one faith to the other and will grow up without ever having heard of the Sermon on the Mount or the Golden Rule, to say nothing of the Ten Commandments… The education of the youth is to be confined primarily by the teacher, the officer, and the leaders of the party. The priests will die out. They have estranged the youth from the Volk. Into their places will step the leaders. Not deputies of God. But anyway the best Germans. And how shall we train our children? Thus, as though they had never heard of Christianity!”

Doesn't that sound way too familiar?

Today the ACLU and other leftist organizations are rabidly trying to eliminate every shred of Christianity from our public schools.

Don't we ever learn anything from history?

The realization that our economy is headed for a major disaster is spreading.

I saw the political cartoon below and I just had to share it with you all.

It just struck me as being so true.

This just shows that people are really starting to feel the financial pain, and that substantial concern about our financial future is becoming more mainstream all the time.

Today our nation is so caught up in so many meaningless issues, while the massive mountain of debt that our society is built on is about to collapse.

Our planet is dying. It is a good thing we live in the end times, because our planet is not going to last too much longer regardless.

While many of the "environmentalists" of the world run around crying about "global warming", the real environmental crises are being ignored.

The Living Planet Index, which was released on Friday, shows that earth has lost almost one third of all living species in the last 35 years.

Just think about that.

That is catastrophic.

The world's species are declining at a rate "unprecedented since the extinction of the dinosaurs", a census of the animal kingdom has revealed. The Living Planet Index out today shows the devastating impact of humanity as biodiversity has plummeted by almost a third in the 35 years to 2005.

The report, produced by WWF, the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and the Global Footprint Network, says land species have declined by 25 per cent, marine life by 28 per cent, and freshwater species by 29 per cent.

Jonathan Loh, editor of the report, said that such a sharp fall was "completely unprecedented in terms of human history".

This brings to mind this verse out of the book of Revelation:

Another automotive plant is closing.

This time it is Chrysler.

Chrysler is shutting down its St Louis minivan plant, cutting production of its top-selling vehicle and 2,400 factory jobs.

Are we all starting to get the hint yet?

The party is almost over.




Closely examine the two charts posted above. The information in them is absolutely shocking. They show that the bank crisis that the Federal Reserve is currently trying to solve is much worse than we have been told in the media. The collapse of our financial system has begun.

The reserves of our local banks are gone. The financial institutions have borrowed an insane amount of money from the Federal Reserve just to stay afloat. Our financial system has never experienced a crisis of this magnitude.

And it is just the beginning. Our greed has been our undoing, and things are about to become a lot worse.

Foreclosures in the United States set another all time record in April, increasing over 65 percent from the same time period a year ago.

This is yet another indication that the biggest debt bubble in the history of the world is starting to burst.

For decades we have lived like kings and queens.....enjoying the biggest party the world has ever known.....but financed with ever increasing amounts of debt.

Now it looks like the party is almost over.

Once upon a time, the United States was the biggest creditor in the world. But those days are long gone. Now we are the biggest debtor nation to ever exist on the earth.

We were the richest nation in the world, but that was not enough for us. We always had to have a bigger car, a bigger house and an endless supply of "stuff". So our government piled up debt, our companies gorged on debt, and we made using credit cards into a national pastime.

Spending our own money wasn't even enough. We spent the money of our children, and of our grandchildren, and of their children, and now the national debt is more than 9 TRILLION dollars.....an amount that we will never be able to repay. And if you include the future liabilities that our government has committed us to such as future Social Security and Medicare payments, then the total is over 59 TRILLION dollars.

Now that many of our jobs have gone overseas, the price of gasoline is shooting through the roof, and people are losing their homes, do we find that Americans are learning their lesson?

No.

Instead we are squeezing everything we can out of our plastic. Total credit card debt in America is now over 790 billion dollars, and it is increasing at a rate which is four times faster than earlier this decade.

Instead of showing restraint, we have jammed the accelerator to the floor.

And did you know that Americans actually have a NEGATIVE savings rate?

Do you know the last time when that happened?

The Great Depression.

Prices are increasing dramatically while wages are not. Jobs are being outsourced and factories are being closed. Our largest banks and financial institutions are teetering on the brink of failure. Homes are being foreclosed at record rates. Personal bankruptcies recently hit an all-time high. And what is the answer the politicians give us? Wasting even more money and getting us into more debt.

We are reaping what we have sowed.

The Scriptures talk about those who would hoard wealth in the last days. Instead of feeding the poor and taking care of those who couldn't take care of themselves, we spent our money on mini-mansions, luxury SUVs and as much entertainment as we could pack into our lives. Now we will pay the price just as the Scriptures say:

James 5:1-5

1Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. 2Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.

A number of seemingly unrelated items have come across my desk in the past few days, and today something clicked and I started putting them together.

First of all, most of us have heard that gay marriage has been legal in California since June 16th. Most of us also understand, whether we like it or not, that this represents a MAJOR turning point for the United States of America.

Secondly, I just read an article about how San Francisco's gay pride parade on Sunday was the biggest ever. Apparently there were hundreds of thousands of people who attended. Throughout the rest of this article you can find pictures of that event.


Thirdly, I received the following information in my email box today from Prison Fellowship. The email message talked about the stunning persecution that those who speak out against gay marriage are already starting to experience:

-A Methodist retreat center recently refused to allow two lesbian couples to use a campground pavilion for a civil union ceremony. The state of New Jersey punished the Methodists by revoking the center's tax-exempt status—a vindictive attack on the Methodists' religious liberty.

-In Massachusetts, where judges imposed gay marriage a few years ago, Catholic Charities was ordered to accept homosexual couples as candidates for adoption. Rather than comply with an order that would be harmful to children, Catholic Charities closed down its adoption program.

-California public schools have been told they must be "gay friendly," as Roback Morse notes. But it will not stop with public schools. Just north of the border in Quebec, the government told a Mennonite school that it must conform to provincial law regarding curriculum—a curriculum that teaches children that homosexuality is a valid lifestyle. How long will it be before the U.S. government goes after private schools?

-Even speaking out against homosexuality can get you fired. Crystal Dixon, an associate vice president at the University of Toledo, was fired after writing an opinion piece in the Toledo Free Press in support of traditional marriage.....fired for exercising her First Amendment rights!


What is happening to America? Will the definitions of the basic building blocks of society be changed forever?


I started to wonder what God must be thinking about all of this. Then I read an article about how there are currently over ONE THOUSAND fires burning all across California right now.


So is there a connection? What are we to make of all this?
