World Criticism Of Israel's Assault On Hamas In Gaza Intensifies

Protests against the actions of the Israeli military in Gaza have exploded throughout the Middle East and around the world. Large rallies denouncing the bombing of Gaza have erupted in Iran, Lebanon, Egypt and other Muslim nations as the Gaza conflict stretches into another day.

Meanwhile, as Israel proclaims that they are "ready to go all the way" in this conflict, Iran and Hizbullah are making preparations to enter the hostilities themselves.....

*Debka is reporting that Iran has embarked on substantial preparations for military operations against Israel.

*Iran's supreme leader is ordering Muslims around the world to do all that they can to defend Palestinians in Gaza.

*Hizbullah is vowing to open a second front in the war against Israel.

Criticism of Israel's bombing of Gaza has been extremely intense around the world.

Even in the United States.

But those who would criticize Israel just do not get it.

God does not bless those who come against Israel.

But whether it is Israel or not, what would any nation do when a neighbor is continually launching rockets at it?

They would fight back.

But that doesn't stop world leaders from denouncing Israel and demanding peace.

In fact, world leaders continue to operate under the delusion that they can find a solution to all of this conflict by dividing the land of Israel.

According to WorldNetDaily, Barack Obama told the Palestinian leadership during a trip to that region in July that he supports a Palestinian state and a Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem, but he asked them to keep his remarks secret, according to a Lebanese newspaper.

So Barack Obama wants to divide up the land of Israel and give the Palestinians a capital in east Jerusalem.

As if we didn't have enough problems.....

Don't the leaders of the United States realize what they are doing?

In Genesis 12:3, God warns that those who curse Israel will be cursed when he promised this to Abraham:

"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

In the book of Joel, God warns specifically against dividing the land of Israel.

Joel 3:1-2 states, "...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up my land."

Bill Koenig, the author of Israel: The Blessing or the Curse, has said this: "We know for a fact that God gave this land, through the Abrahamic covenant, He gave the land of Israel to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants, and this land is God's land."

In the Scriptures, the prophet Zechariah warned the nations about the city of Jerusalem in particular in Zechariah 12:3 -- "On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves."

So is there any evidence of a curse on those who try to divide the land of Israel existing today?

Consider some examples.....

#1) On April 30, 2003, America was positioned to be the catalyst for the so-called "solution" to the Middle East crisis. As Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas was sworn in, the "Road Map" peace plan was set in motion.

The very next day began the worst month of tornadoes in United States history - more than 500 in a single month. Under normal conditions, 1,000 tornadoes hit the United States each year, but in just eight days that May, 375 twisters ripped across the heartland of America.

#2) May 9, 2003, President Bush addressed students at the University of South Carolina. Bush called on the Palestinians to embrace the roadmap to peace, and Bush expressed his desire to see the flag of Palestine raised over a free nation.

Hours later, tornadoes returned and Oklahoma City again became the bullseye for deadly twisters, reducing what was left of businesses and homes to splinters and bricks. The tornadoes of May devastated the Midwest with the third worst property damage in American history.

#3) On October 30, 1991, in a meeting scheduled by the first President Bush, Israelis and Palestinians discussed ways to achieve peace in the Middle East. Opening talks focused on trading parts of Israel for a peace agreement.

That same day, thousands of miles away, a powerful storm was brewing off the coast of Nova Scotia. On October 31st, what would be known as "The Perfect Storm" smashed into New England, pummeling the President's Kennebunkport, Maine home with waves 30 feet high. It was a storm so rare that the weather patterns required to create it only happen about once every 100 years.

#4) On August 23rd, 1992, Middle East peace talks resumed in Washington, D.C. The talks continued to focus on surrendering the biblical lands of Judea and Samaria in exchange for peace. Hundreds of miles south, Florida was the target for one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history. Hurricane Andrew ripped through the state with an eye more than 30 miles wide and winds up to 178 miles per hour leaving a 32 billion dollar disaster.

#5) Between August 16th and 30th, 2005, Ariel Sharon expelled 9,480 Jewish settlers from 21 settlements in Gaza and four settlements in the northern West Bank.

On January 4th, 2006, Sharon had a stroke, and he fell into a coma and is now in a persistent vegetative state.

#6) The U.S. had strongly pressured Sharon to evacuate those settlers from Gaza.

On August 29th, 2005 the storm that would become Hurricane Katrina formed, and it devastated New Orleans and the surrounding areas to such an extent that they still have not recovered. The storm caused at least 200 billion dollars in damage.

#7) In June of 2001, George W. Bush sent CIA director George Tenet to Israel to attempt to implement the Mitchell Plan, a plan calling for, among other things, cessation of new building in the Jewish settlements.

On the same day that Tenet met with Israeli and Palestinian officials, tropical storm Allison formed in the Gulf of Mexico and moved over Texas, the President's home state, and dropped over 28 inches of rain over the Houston area alone, causing over $4 billion dollars in damage. The storm then moved to Florida and up the east coast causing damage as far as Pennsylvania. The meteorologists called Allison the "worst tropical storm in history".

So will the United States continue to mock God and continue to try to divide up the land of Israel?

Why Has This Become The Season To Swipe Baby Jesus?

We now officially have an epidemic - in 2008 the reports of baby Jesus being stolen from nativity scenes around the world has skyrocketed.

Just check out a handful of the recent reports.....

*For the 6th year in a row, someone has stolen the "baby Jesus" from the Regina Christian School's nativity scene.

*For the 3rd time, the "baby Jesus" has been swiped from a nativity scene in Missouri.

*For the 2nd year in a row, someone has stolen the "baby Jesus" from a nativity scene in New York.

*Officials are pleading for the return of the "baby Jesus" stolen from a very expensive life size nativity scene in Sweden.

*"Baby Jesus" was even swiped all the way down in Australia.

*In one of the most disturbing reports, thieves in the U.K. smashed the "baby Jesus" and left a can of beer instead.

Things have gotten so bad that "baby Jesus" is now being protected by GPS devices in many areas.

So why is this happening? Well, some of it is surely just teenagers being teenagers, and some of it may be copycat thieves who have seen a previous news story about such a theft, but the truth is that this reflects something deeper in the culture.

The truth is that people around the world are openly rejecting Jesus and rejecting Christianity like never before.

Most people around the world don't even know why December 25th is celebrated - all they know is that they like the gifts and trees and Santa and that they don't care much for Jesus.

Most Americans will gather around "the Christmas tree" on December 25th without having any idea why we practice this tradition or where it came from. The truth is that the Christmas tree and the decorations we put on the tree have ancient roots in pagan fertility traditions.

In ancient times, the goddess Asherah was known the "Queen of Heaven". She was worshipped by many civilizations in the Middle East.

One of the symbols most closely associated with Asherah was a tree. The ancient Canaanites and Phoenicians viewed the tree as a symbol of fertility.

A symbol of male fertility.

This is not a joke.

The purpose of the fertility tree in ancient times was to display the symbols of fertility.

The pole, balls, and tinsel (phallus, testes, semen) represented various aspects of male fertility, while wreaths were always made in a circle to represent female fertility.

But isn't the Christmas tree a Christian thing?

Actually the Bible doesn't say anything about a "Christmas tree", but it does warn God's people against putting up trees like the other pagan nations were doing.

Jeremiah 10:1-4.....

Hear what the LORD says to you, O house of Israel. This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter."

The truth is shocking, eh?

Most people think that December 25th first became a holiday when Catholics decided to make that day the celebration of the birth of Christ. But that is just not true. Before Christmas was ever invented, December 25th was known as "the birthday of the unconquered sun" and it was celebrated as the birthday of pagan gods such as Mithras, Attis, Sol, Dionysus and others.

Most people also do not realize that Yule is the name of a major pagan holiday that is celebrated today by thousands upon thousands of people around the world.

In fact, a major U.K. newspaper recently had this headline: Ancient Yule festivals lie behind much of our British Christmas.

Yule was celebrated by the pagans of northern Europe from late December to early January for centuries. When you offer "yuletide" greetings you are acknowledging this celebration. Yule logs were traditionally lit to honor the god "Thor". The holiday would continue until the Yule log burned out, which could take as many as twelve days. Thus this is where we get the "12 days of Christmas". Even an early form of Santa Claus can all be traced back to ancient Yule celebrations.

Another one of the pagan pre-Christian festivals was called Saturnalia.

Saturnalia was a holiday when the Romans commemorated the dedication of the temple of their god Saturn, which was on the 17th of December and the festival would last for a whole week until the 23rd of December.

Green ivy and holly were common symbols of "Saturn", the Roman deity.

Later on, the Romans also started holding a festival on December 25 called Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, which means "the birthday of the unconquered sun."

In the year 350 A.D., Pope Julius I declared that "Christ’s birth" would be celebrated on December 25th from then on.

Apparently his rationale was that he was trying to make it easier for pagan Romans to convert to Christianity.

But the historical Jesus was not born on December 25th.

It would have been far too cold for shepherds to be out with their sheep at night during that time.

The truth is that is can be demonstrated that Jesus was most likely born during the Feast of Tabernacles.

The Pope Is Saying That We ARE NOT In The End Times

In comments that are shocking many Christians, the Pope is telling his followers that these are NOT the end times. In fact, the Pope is warning against the dangers of what he views as growing "alarmism" about the end of the world.

So what should we think about this?
