The Whole World Will Observe The Law During The Millennium After The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

When most Christians think about the end times, they think about the second coming of Jesus Christ.  But most Christians think very little about what is going to happen after the Tribulation is over and Jesus is ruling on earth.  The Scriptures tell us that Jesus will rule for 1000 years over the entire earth from the city of Jerusalem.  This period of time is known as "The Millennium" and the Bible actually has a ton to say about it.  Unfortunately, most churches teach very little about this element of Bible prophecy.  Probably because they are scared of what the Scriptures do actually say about what is going to go on during that time period.  You see, the Bible is very clear that the whole world will observe the Law during that 1000 years.

You don't believe this?

Well, just check out the Scriptures that talk about this.  Isaiah 2:2-3 describes the 1000 year reign of Christ and it tells us that in the last days that the Law will go forth from Jerusalem....

In the last days
the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established
as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.

Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Micah 4:1-2 says almost exactly the same thing....

In the last days
the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established
as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills,
and peoples will stream to it.
Many nations will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

But do you ever hear this in any of our churches?

Not really.

But they should be telling us the truth about the end times.

And did you know that the whole world will be celebrating the Biblical festivals when Jesus is ruling from Jerusalem?

It's true.

In Zechariah chapter 14, it describes the second coming of Jesus in the first part of the chapter, and in the second portion of the chapter it describes how Jesus will require the entire world to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles each and every year when He reigns. Zechariah 14:16-19 says this:

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

Unfortunately, most churches have never even heard of the Feast of Tabernacles.

But they should learn about it.

Why?

Well, did you know that Jesus was born during the Feast of Tabernacles?

It's true!

We will also be celebrating many other Biblical festivals during the 1000 year reign of Christ.  In the last part of the book of Ezekiel, it describes what life will be like during the Millennium.  In Ezekiel 45 and Ezekiel 46 it tells us of a number of the Biblical festivals that the world will be celebrating.

In fact, in Isaiah 66:22-23, the Scriptures tell us that we will be celebrating Sabbath and New Moon forever and ever....

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

So has this happened yet?

Has the Lord made new heavens and a new earth yet?

Of course not.

This is what is going to happen in the future.

So get ready to observe Sabbaths and New Moons because the Scriptures cannot be broken.  We are going to be celebrating them forever.

So why aren't we celebrating them now?

That is a very good question.

The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ told us to celebrate them to to observe the Law.  In fact, Jesus said that those who observe the Law and teach others to do so will be considered greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

You don't believe this?

Well, Jesus said the following in Matthew 5:17-19....

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Could Jesus have been any clearer?

But most Christians totally ignore this.

In fact, most of them do not know how to handle it when you start showing them Scriptures such as this.

They think that the law has been made void.

But that is not true at all.

The Law shows us our sin.

It shows us we need a Savior.

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

But that doesn't mean that now the Law has been invalidated.

The apostle Paul explains this very clearly in Romans 3:27-31....

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

So you uphold the Law?

If not, then why not?

The Scriptures are very clear about what life will be like after Jesus returns to this earth.

In fact, in Revelation 12:17 and Revelation 14:12 it tells us that the remnant of the last days will have both the testimony of Jesus and will be obeying the commandments of God even before Jesus returns.

Don't you want to be part of the remnant?

If so, then it is time to return to God's Law.

You are absolutely right that the Feast of Tabernacles will be kept in the Millennium, and the verses you quoted on that is one of the proof-texts that show that God's true Church should be keeping the annual holy days and festivals of God today.

It is those who keep the holy days in obedience to God's Word that God gives understanding of His plan to, as Herbert W. Armstrong taught.
